Strawberries and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

Wild strawberries
Aemilia Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.D.O. - "Extravecchio"
Sugar


Preparation:

Let's take some wild strawberries (or if big size, they should be cut), well washed and dry. Place them in a bowl and season them with a few teaspoons of "Extravecchio" Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (the quantity of "Balsamico" will depend on the quantity of strawberries). Now let it rest for about 15 minutes, then add sugar in the desired quantity.
Warning: both when seasoning with the "Balsamico" and when adding the sugar, the strawberries must be delicately and expertly mixed.
Let's then serve them in a cup with perhaps a few mint leaves to fully enjoy them with all the senses.


A faster alternative that can only be done with medium-large sized strawberries is the following: remove the stem from the fruit and dig a small cavity inside it, pour a few drops of "Balsamico" inside for each strawberry.
